A children’s museum in a converted church
The MACHmit! museum is a very special place: in a converted church, children from four to twelve can discover, try things out and explore. Here, the name is the programme: participation is explicitly encouraged. In the centre of the exhibition space, in the main aisle and tower of the former Eliaskirche, is a large climbing shelf made out of wood.
Thematic experiential exhibitions, a historical soap shop, the house of mirrors, a museum printing shop and many workshop-offers make the museum visit here to an experience for all the senses. A stage with seats and the family café round out the exhibition experience for small and big.
