Lively stories from Brandenburg-Prussia
The Haus der Brandenburgisch-Preußischen Geschichte (HBGP, or “House of Brandenburg-Prussian History”) regards itself as a “young house in old walls” that provides a lively forum for engaging in the history of Brandenburg-Prussia. The HBPG is located in the riding stables of the former Potsdam City Palace, directly in Potsdam’s historic centre.
Since 2003, a constant Brandenburg-Prussia exhibition, various special exhibitions, events, tours and excursions have been inviting guests to immerse themselves in the history of Prussia and Brandenburg. Located in the heritage-listed south hall of the coach horse stable, the constant exhibition takes you on an eventful journey through 900 years of state history. A broad panorama of topics that ranges from questions on art and cultural history to social and common history is shown.
