A museum all about the cannabis plant

– © Hanf Museum Berlin

In the eight rooms of the Hanf Museum — the only one in Germany — the genus cannabis is illuminated from various perspectives. Within around 250 m² visitors can grasp a view of one of the world’s oldest cultivated plants.

The significance of cannabis as an intoxicant is not the central focus, though is also illuminated. Next to maturation, cultivation, processing, and possibilities of use, the visitor also learns interesting information about its cultural significance in other countries — and finally, in the last room, is provided information on its current legal status.
