A laugh a minute …
This is where the stars of the comedy scene frequent: Dieter Hallervorden’s cabaret stage has been the big name in great entertainment and biting satire since 1960. Originally, the theatre was catapulted to fame with an own ensemble, featuring skits and gags, and later evolved into a topical cabaret venue.
Today, the Wühlmäuse (voles) stage has become the Berlin home-away-from-home for national and international comedians and performers of all genres. Dieter Nuhr, Mathias Richling, Gabi Decker or Bruno Jonas are just some of the many stars, who frequent the former ‘Naafi’ club of the British occupation forces.
The ‘Wühlmäuse’ moved into their permanent home at Theodor-Heuss-Platz on the occasion of their 40th anniversary. While traffic goes by in droves outside, inside the theatre there’s time for relaxation and lots of laughter. In addition to comedy and cabaret, the programme also includes other highlights: concerts with Ulla Meinecke, Purple Schulz and Gustav Peter Wöhler, or readings with Hardy Krüger, Herbert Feuerstein, Axel Hacke and others complement the multi-faceted offerings of the venue.
The cabaret theatre offers top-rated guest appearances every day - from periodically reappearing artists, who can almost be counted among the permanent ensemble, to one-time-only performances of internationally renowned comedians. And on the odd special occasion, even owner/operator Dieter Hallervorden can be enjoyed on stage with his very own show.
