The “Paradox Ball” was invented in the Café Keese, the defining feature of which was that ladies chose their partners. This is still the rule here, whether the occasion is a disco fox trot party or a tea dance. The guests are generally over 40 and wear evening dress or elegant casual clothes. The dance floor is always crowded in the daily live music sessions.
