8 May 1945 - 70 years end of WWII

In May 1945, World War II ended in Europe with the capitulation of the German Wehrmacht. Many countries mark this event as Victory Day. On the occasion of the yearly anniversary many cultural institutions in Berlin commemorate the events and impacts of World War II with exhibitions, lectures and various other events.
