Berlin is always worth visiting! And with the Berlin WelcomeCard it’s not only the city’s public transport network you can use free of charge, but also at the same time save at over 200 discount partners such as museums, sightseeing tours and events. And something completely new next year will be the category of hotel restaurants, where you will receive a 25% discount on main meals or even the whole bill!

In the coming year you can look forward to plenty of great discount offers and benefits with sightseeing tours, attractions, museums, events, restaurants, shops and much more besides. New, for example, is the ComedyTour Berlin, at which holders of the Berlin WelcomeCard will get a 25% discount on a sightseeing tour. The ComedyTour Berlin, however, is – as its name suggests - no ordinary sightseeing tour. True, the ComedyTour through the city does of course include the many important sightseeing attractions, but will in addition also make the visitors laugh, because here sightseeing meets stand-up comedy. For those who are keen on discovering Berlin off their own bat, but don’t fancy walking long distances, then simply hire a Segway personal transporter at Yoove Mobility to explore the city in comfort (and no little style!).

Museums with the Berlin WelcomeCard

There are also some new partners in the museums category, where you can save in some cases up to 40%. If you visit Berlin with children, you save 33% at the Machmit! (Join in!) Museum for Children, in which not only children but adults too will experience and learn exciting new things. For instance, during a tour of the museum printing plant adults and children will see how books and newspapers used to be printed, and children can actually print their own texts in the workshop. In the Computerspielemuseum (Computer Games Museum) you can play and experiment to your heart’s content and experience a time journey into the world of computer games.

Friederisiko

The 24th January 2012 will witness the 300th anniversary of the birth of Frederick the Great – that really calls for a celebration! For this reason, 2012 is completely dedicated to the life of “Old Fritz”, as he was affectionally called. Holders of the Berlin WelcomeCard will be entitled to a very special offer: discounted admittance to the special “Friederisiko” exhibition in the Neues Palais und the Sanssouci Palace Park, as well as special conditions when buying a premium day ticket entitling you to admittance to all Palaces of the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation Berlin - Brandenburg.

Your creature comforts are also taken care of: you will receive discounts and other benefits in many cafés, restaurants and bars. This way, not only will you be able to enjoy German cuisine in the Löwenbräu restaurants, but also go on a culinary journey with delicacies from Australia, Singapore or India.

The Guide

The 2012 Berlin WelcomeCard also naturally again includes the practical German-English guide containing the detachable city map as well as lots of useful tips. This way, you’ll have all the information on our partners that you need – discounts, addresses and opening hours – at a glance, and be able to put together your own personal Berlin programme. New this year are the tour suggestions, which you will also find in the guide and which are marked in colour on the city map. This is the safest way not to miss any attractions!

So, let 2012 come. There are plenty of great discounts awaiting you!
