The green city

The fine weather is here – ah, how wonderful. There's just one problem: so many other Berliners also have the idea of heading for the countryside. But just how far out of the city do you have to go in order to spend an afternoon in the country either playing sports or simply lounging around? Well, actually, not that far at all. In fact, just a few stops on the suburban railway. With its forests, parks, gardens and allotments, more than 2,500 public green spaces and recreation areas in total, Berlin really is a green city.
