At the underground Information Centre, the victims of the Holocaust get a name and a face. Here, the fates of the single victims and their families are in the centre; here, their lives, suffering, and dying is documented. Personalization and individualization are the central content functions of the exhibition; they are the recurrent theme throughout the Information Centre.

The four topic rooms

Room 1: Room of Dimensions – display of the European dimension of the mass murder on the Jews; with letters and personal memoirs of individuals under lightning plates mounted in the floor; the number of the victims in the single European countries are written on a circular frieze.
Room 2: Room of Families – Representative family fates before, during, and after the Holocaust; 15 Jewish family fates are presented on "uprooted" stelae which seem to grow from the ceiling. On display are their social, national, cultural, and religious environments.
Room 3: Room of Names – Presentation of names of the victims; each single name gets displayed on the four walls of the empty room, while a voice reads its biography.
Room 4: Room of the Places – Cartographic overview on the places of persecution and extinction in Europe. On the broad side of the stelae, which seem to besiege the room, serial short films show the enormous number of places where the murdering took place and their interconnectedness.
