There are better-known places in Berlin, there are more impressive areas, but for me, the Rüdesheimer Platz in Wilmersdorf is one of the most beautiful places of the city. The houses all around were put up in the beginning of the 20th century in the style of the English country home.

Unlike the usual houses in Berlin, the buildings at the Rüdesheimer Platz and in the side-streets even have a small front garden; these, the romantic pediment and the harmonious architecture give the place its very own character.

The Rüdesheimer Platz is most beautiful in the summer, when wine from the Rheingau is served. Everyone brings their own food with them and then buys the tasty wine there—and the entire place transforms itself into a large happy picnic area.
