Et in Arcadia ego

Where in Berlin is it the most beautiful? To that, everyone must find their own answer. One person enjoys the lively life somewhere in the city, a great view over the sea of buildings or simply just a place with especially nice memories.

One of my favourite places is without a doubt the Prussian Arcadia, the cultural landscape between Berlin and Potsdam with its enchanting castles and wonderful gardens; there is nothing left here to remind of the sandy soil of the Mark Brandenburg on which Berlin arose. Here, everything is very easy and enchanting and refreshes the soul. In the Glienicke Castle park, the blue of the Wannsee shines through the trees, and golden lions keep watch over the visitors. When one wanders through the park, it is, as if one still hears the swishing of a silk dress, a whisper that feels of the past—light like a summer breeze.
