Berlin’s literary existence has always been diverse and active. To this day, hundreds of writers ranging from completely unknown surf poets in the indie scene to established Nobel laureates live in the city. Appropriately, there are countless houses of literature, salons and bars in which the authors meet to read and recite their writings. A regular night in Berlin sees at least 20 such events take place - it’s a festival for everyone who loves literature.
